Unboxing My iPod Touch 3G 32GB

Alright ladies and gentlemen! I'm hurrying up with my last post for the year 2009. I almost forgot to post my iPod Touch unbox pictures. So here are some shots. Oh yeah, please click on the pictures to enlarge.

One thing I really love about apple products, is the minimalistic and stylish design which even applies to packaging. I ordered my iPod Touch from Amazon, cuz I wanted to receive it the next day (great to be a premium member). Well you know I just can't wait lol! So I took the iPod out of the Amazon package and this is how it looks like:

I was surprised how little packaging has been used for the iPod Touch, just like my iMac. Hurray for our environment -- lesser garbage!

I also ordered a leather case from Belkin for my iPod Touch, cuz I wanted to protect my baby from scratches etc. but I didn't want to put it in a silicone case which would remind me of a condom like case or acrylic case, which would make it look like a Tamagotchi egg. I mean it's such a nice piece of design, why would I want to destroy its appearance?

So they both arrived on time the next day (Amazon is just sooo awesome!).
See the Belkin box in comparison regarding the packaging, just typical huge boxes and lots of garbage for the trash.

Oh, I have to mention also that I sent the Belkin case back, cuz it was too tight for the iPod Touch 3G and the case was also kinda weird. I realized it's not a good option to have such a flip case, if you will be taking the device in and out of the case constantly, so I got me a Philips leather sleeve instead, with a pull out tab, and it's perfect!

Now is the time to unpack the iPod Touch. You can play some striptease music in the background e.g. "Rope Burn" by Janet Jackson and I'll unpack my iPod slowly, similar to stripping.

Getting hot now?

You can wipe your sweat off of your forehead before I proceed.

A view from the side. You know you need to see all angles. For another comparison, I placed the unboxed iPod Touch on top of the unboxed Belkin leather case, so you can see how huge the Belkin box is (yawn).

Don't fall asleep on me now! I'm opening the box next!

Woohoo! Getting closer to finale...

The iPod Touch without the sticker.

The headphone with built in microphone and remote control, manual and usb cable for charging and connecting to the computer. And for the finale.... the naked iPod Touch 3G! Tadaaaa!

I forgot to take pictures of it when it's on, I might do that later and update this post. Anyway, I was at first unsure if I wanted to keep it or not, since I wasn't really overly, exaggeratedly and surprisingly impressed, when I first played around with it. I'm very new to this touch screen technology and I really was thinking of sending it back and getting a classic iPod instead. But when I tried to be friends with it again after two days (I didn't touch it for 2 days), I started to really love my new iPod Touch and I definitely don't want to give it away anymore.

I transfered all tracks from my iRiver, which were totally about 10GB, then I had fun browsing the itunes store, downloading the freebie apps, games and podcasts. I even purchased some of my favorite games such as Monopoly, The Sims 3 and lots of Solitaire games. I also purchased a short cute film of a goth little girl named Emelia and Mr. Bean's Holiday in France (which was so la la but still sometimes funny), for my upcoming travel. It was really fun to sit in the train for 4 hrs. (back and forth) and watch films and play games. Time went by really quick.
I actually despise traveling due to the long hours of sitting around. Even more since all trains are smoke free (I'm a smoker FYI). I usually always take a book with me, so I can read while listening to music, but it makes me tired.

I still haven't read Richard Branson's book "Losing My Virginity", which was the last book I purchased. I even haven't made it yet to page 20 lol!
Now my sisters gave me 3 books all in all, as a present for Christmas and I don't even know, when I will have the chance to read them (damn! I still have all Dan Brown books to read). I used to be an extreme bookworm back in the days. But because of being so busy with so many stuff that I do, have to do and like to do, I haven't really read a book completely since the last Harry Potter book.

Ok reading a Harry Potter book is an exception, cuz I usually can't wait to finish the book
(the adult version of course). My record was 3 days with the last book, but one of my sisters topped it with 32hrs. (shock!). Mind you, that was 3 days straight after the book was released at midnight (the original version). I prefer to read the english version, cuz the German version release is a few months after the original version release, and I'm too impatient to wait.

I definitely don't want to out myself here as a nerd lol! Well I don't think I'm a nerd at all.. hmmm.. What I'm trying to say is, I know I still need to finish my album (oh boy) and the redesign of my website, but I still want to learn some new tools such as Blender e.g. or a 3D Tool similar to it, for better 3D content creation (making money is quite addictive).
Constant learning and discovering new things are important, to keep your tiny little gray cells fit.

That's all for now and I wish you all a great 2010!
